Khaldi s Story

Khaldi s Story

Another tiring day, he thought. The old shepherd felt nothing different. All he wanted to do was get dinner as soon as possible. He dreamed of his bed; At that moment, a smile appeared on his face that resembled that sun-scorched desert land. It was good to dream, but it was now painful for him to dream the same thing every day. Moreover, he had convinced himself that his only dream was laziness. But for someone who's been waking up and sleeping with the sun for years, it wasn't such a bad dream.
His eye fell on the tree under which he ate his lunch the other day. He reached the bottom of the tree in five or six steps. He wanted to do the same thing, he would eat here again. He opened his bundle beautifully and was reaching for the bread when his eyes caught his goats for a moment. Four or five of them buried their heads in the same place, hungrily eating a plant, and the others were running around. Khaldi could not understand this situation. His eyes were almost fixed on the goats that were climbing on top of each other to eat that plant. Suddenly something fell on his hand from a branch of the tree above him. He picked up the caterpillar cone between two fingers, from the bundle he had laid on the ground.
Thus, a butterfly flapped its wings. Who knew that the wind of those wings would turn into a huge hurricane that engulfed the whole world...
